Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions that have been raised about the site.

Do I have to pay for using the site?
No. The idea is to cover as much of the specification for core, additional and separate science and to give access to anyone at any time for free. If you have found the videos useful, please consider making a donation by clicking the button at the bottom of this page. This will help with the development of the site and also to keep the resources free. If not, enjoy the videos, but please tell your friends.

There is no video for the topic I want. When can I expect to see it?
I am
working to produce videos and notes to cover the whole specification for core, additional and triple science. There are about 70 videos done, with more being added all the time. Send a request if you have one, if I get lots for the same topic I'll move it up the list. Please be aware that it is unlikely that I can make a video immediately for an exam that is very close!

Can I watch the videos on my mobile device?
Yes, all the videos are viewable from your mobile device. In fact, I'd encourage you to watch a video for revision when you have a few spare moments. I have been able to access videos on a 3G connection so this might be a way to make use of spare minutes.

Can I pass my GCSE science by just watching these videos?
A lot of the topics covered for the different courses have come up in the first exam last January. However, while a lot is covered, you will also need to try practise papers, make your own notes and of course, work hard at school.

Who are you?
I am a science teacher and have been teaching for about 17 years. Currently, I teach in a school in west London.

What software and hardware do you use?
I use Smart Notebook software, with a graphics tablet and a standard headset.

Are you going to add practise questions.
I plan to at some point, but at the moment I'm trying to get as many videos done as possible.

Are the videos good for exam boards other than AQA?
There is a lot of content that is covered on other exam board specifications, but be careful because all specifications have differences. My advice would be to look at your specification carefully to check if the videos are relevant.

Are you going to cover triple science.
I'm going to try. First exams for the triple science courses are in January.
