Energy transfer and power in circuits



The electrical energy which is provided by the cell, battery or power supply in a circuit is transferred to the components within the circuit.  In this video, we’ll look in detail at how this works, focusing in particular on how the power transfer in circuits can be determined by using suitable circuit diagrams.  We will also look at the process by which the flow of an electric current through a resistor leads to the transfer of energy which can increase the temperature of the resistor and its surrounds, before finishing by looking at another key equation to do with energy transfers in circuits.
