Induced potential difference



Michael Faraday discovered electromagnetic induction in 1831; it is unlikely that he (or anyone else) could have predicted what a huge effect this quaint discovery would have had on the world between then and now.  Electromagnetic induction is the process by which electricity is generated in power stations, and can explain everything from how a cordless electric toothbrush is charged to how a ray of light can travel from A to B.  This video covers the basics of this important area of physics, and will equip you with everything you need for any questions which might pop up on this at times challenging topic in your exam.
